Communities understand their challenges best.

FBRO was founded in 2024 in Kakuma Refugee Camp, Turkana County, Kenya, by refugees who stepped forward to respond to everyday humanitarian challenges: youth unemployment, poverty, conflict, environmental stress, and limited access to education and skills.

As a refugee-led community-based organization (CBO), we involve community members in identifying problems, planning activities, and carrying out sustainable solutions across Kakuma and Kalobeyei Settlement, partnering with youth groups, women groups, community elders, and humanitarian organizations.
